Commentary

The problem extends beyond a fiscal problem for USA.La primary mission of any company is to maximize their profits. Many multinational companies have found in countries like India and Costa Rica, which have been concerned about educating their people in technical careers, a source of professional workers (comparable to any professional in the United States) at a fraction of the cost of the same professional USA, coupled with a tax system in these countries very friendly and attractive. Obviously these companies prefer “to outsource” work to India or Costa Rica to create the same job in Buffalo, New York. In my opinion as long as Costa Rica keep that competitive advantage by offering tax advantages in addition to a professional staff trained at a lower price, multinationals continue to face our country quite attractive for invertir.Roxana Gomez
