Changes in Taxes in the US, more pressure for internal tax law changes in Costa Rica


As the OECD challenged Costa Rica´s current tax system that is alleged to protect tax related information by strict banking and tax laws, the Obama administration may propose changes on the legislation that will not allow tax credits from non cooperative jurisdictions such as Costa Rica. Although Costa Rica has currently its only Tax Information Treaty signed with the US, banking secrecy seems to be the silver bullet to finally kill the perception of CR as a tax heaven.
